How dog owners can keep their car clean

Having a clean car and owning a dog are not exactly things that go hand in hand. Almost every dog owner will understand what it is like to discover clumps of hair between their car seats or to look through their passenger window and find it covered in slobber. This is all just part and parcel of having a dog. However, it can be a little embarrassing when you offer to carpool a friend to work and they find themselves tugging malted hair from under their legs, or if your commute to the office is plagued by the stench of your pup who jumped in a puddle over the weekend.

Unfortunately, these are not always problems that can be solved by simply rolling down the window or giving the car a quick brush. Smells cannot always be eradicated with a quick blast of fresh air and any savvy pet owner will know that dog hairs get everywhere—and we mean everywhere. Instead, pet owners should educate themselves about the most effective aromacare and cleaning solutions so that you can keep your car looking spick and span, no matter how messy or how smelly your beloved pooch might be.

Cleaning up after your pup can get a little tricky when it comes to the main car upholstery. This might require you to invest in cleaning products with a bio-enzyme formula. However, the backrest and headrest of cars tend to be made with relatively thin material. This is not only great for comfort but good news for pet owners who wish to remove smells or hair with ease. All it takes is a splash of white vinegar to eradicate any uncleanliness caused by your pup. Make sure you follow the dos and don’ts for cleaning with white vinegar though.

Dog owners may still notice foul smells even after intense cleaning. Sometimes applying bio-enzyme formulas, white vinegar and baking soda regularly won’t be enough to remove these odours. How could this be possible? Well, it might be that the smells have gotten into your car’s air filters. Changing your air filters is relatively simple, but it is not something you want to get wrong, so you may want to follow a guide such as this. Doing this should eradicate any lingering stenches once and for all, making your car feel fresh again.
