Did you know that some action movies get remade every couple of years? The original film remains unchanged while the sequel gets completely reworked, often including new actors and even directors (as seen in the case of Mission Impossible). Well, some action movies are worth watching more than once while playing casino games, simply because there’s a fun story to be told or a unique character arc to watch unfold. Here are 5 action films that would make great viewing again and again:
5. Dirty Harry
Released as an answer to the increasingly popular slasher trend of the 1980s, Clint Eastwood’s Dirty Harry was not only an instant success but also created a template for many other “angry cop” characters. It is easy to see why it has stood the test of time; with its fast pace and witty dialogue between the two leads, it still holds up today.
4. Taken
This Liam Neeson thriller was one of the best action films of 2008 and has been widely regarded as his best performance to date. While he does have a few other good performances under his belt, Neeson really shines here as Bryan Mills, a retired CIA agent who takes matters into his own hands after his daughter is kidnapped by thieves from the mob.
3. Death Proof
A Quentin Tarantino classic, this movie had everything you could possibly want from an exploitation flick. There are tons of awesome car chases, lots of blood, several murders, a kick ass soundtrack and so much more. I mean the entire reason we decided to list this film on our top 10 list is due to how awesome it is and how much fun it is to watch.
2. Faster Than Light
Faster Than Light directed by Jonathan Liebesman follows three astronauts aboard a spaceship who unexpectedly find themselves fighting for survival when their ship encounters problems. With zero gravity causing the crew members to float around, it becomes a matter of life and death to stay alive and evade certain doom in this intense space thriller.
1. Pulp Fiction
Pulp Fiction is justifiably considered to be one of the greatest pieces of cinematic artwork made to date without a distraction of mobile gambling. For those unfamiliar with the plot, Jules Winnfield and Ving Rhames play drug dealers who accidentally kill a police officer named Marsellus Wallace during a botched robbery.
Conclusion
While it’s no secret that these movies grossed real money on the charts, what makes them worth watching over and over again is the pure entertainment factor. We hope that you enjoyed the video and found it helpful.
