5 Ways To Keep Your Pet’s Memory Lasting

Owning a pet is one of the greatest joys that life has to offer. You and your animal companion create a bond like no other. Those little furballs fill your heart and home with so much love. Once you bring them home they become a part of the family.

When the time comes in which they are no longer with you, it is normal to want to keep their memory lasting. Your pet was by your side for so many years, it’s only natural for you to want to do something for them after they pass. Today we’re going to go over 5 ways that you can keep your pet’s memory lasting.

Customized Plaque

If you have chosen a special spot to bury your pet you can get a customized plaque dedicated to your beloved pet’s life. This can be for a spot that you can visit, maybe even on your own property, where you can reminisce about the time you spent together.

If you are unable to bury your pet somewhere you can visit often, you can still get a plaque in their honor to keep with you wherever you go over the years.

Pet Paintings

Like most pet owners, the sight of your pet’s face probably melts your heart. One of the best ways that you can honor your pet’s memory (and also bring a smile to your face) is through realistic pet paintings. Getting a portrait done of your pet is a great way to capture their personality so you never forget how special they are.

A custom pet portrait is more meaningful than a digital photo and it will last forever. If you’re after a custom piece of artwork for your home, one of the most personal pieces you can get is one of your beloved pet.

Meaningful Tattoo

If you want your pet’s memory to carry on for life, consider getting a tattoo in their honor. You can do something simple, like a paw print just for them. For bigger tattoos, you could customize a memorial portrait. There are so many designs that you can come up with to honor your pet.

This personal piece of artwork is something that you will carry along everywhere you go. It is one way to keep your pet’s memory lasting that will always be close to your heart.

Memorial Locket

A locket is a simple and beautiful way to keep your pet’s memory lasting. Customize your favorite picture of your pet, so their face is small enough to fit in your locket. Wear it on a chain around your neck to keep their memory by your heart every day. Opening that locket and seeing your pet’s face can bring you comfort, even on a stressful day.

Some pet owners even get little vials to keep their pet’s ashes in. These can be worn on a chain around your neck or wrist as well.

Devote A Garden To Their Memory

One way to honor life that has been lost is to continue the chain of life. Planting a plant in someone’s honor is a great way to keep their memory alive while providing a calming activity for you.

Having a little section of your garden devoted to your pet will bring you peace while honoring them. Make sure you choose a perennial plant that will come back every year. If you are crafty, consider painting a garden stone in their memory. Your pet would really appreciate all the effort you are putting into making their memory last.
