How Can I Supplement Cranberries In My Dog’s Diet?

Just like humans, dogs can catch infections too. But unlike humans, they can’t detect the symptoms and that’s where their owners have to step in and take charge. UTI(urinary tract infection) is common in dogs, especially females who are at greater risk of developing UTI than are males. The reason is dogs bump in areas where bacteria are often common and catch infections easily. UTIs are also known as bacterial cystitis and are pretty painful for your dog. However, maintaining a proper diet for your dog can help prevent it.

Older dogs are more prone to UTIs. Research shows that cranberries help treat UTIs and maintain the good health of your dog. You can either go for cranberry juice or pills. In addition, cranberry chews for dogs are also a good option to cater to your dog’s nutritional needs. Cranberry Juice

The most common form of cranberry to be consumed is its juice. It can be mixed with water or as it is to your dog. Unsweetened cranberry juice can help manage and prevent your dog’s UTIs.

Cranberry Chewable Supplements

The chewable supplements can be given as a treat or mixed with food to your dog to maintain its health. The supplements will provide your dog with essential nutrients to prevent UTIs.

Raw And Fresh Cranberries

Cranberries can be given in the raw form to your dog without any problem. But usually, dogs don’t like it that way. You can crush cranberries and mix them with their meals to make consumption easy for your dog.

All of a sudden your dog pees more frequently. There’s reduced body weight and fever. Moreover, your dog whimpers during urination and licks the urinary opening more often.
