The PawPail® Pet Waste Station respects our Earth more than your average waste storage bin. PawPail offers the ultimate combination of convenience and pet friendliness, but also works in harmony with our surrounding environment.
When we decided to tackle the all-too-familiar pet waste disposal challenge, we wanted to create a solution that was accountable to pet owners and our planet – the waste, the storage, and the plastic footprint all needed to be environmentally conscious. Think about the last time you picked up after your dog in the rain or the snow, or your just let the poop go in the back yard. Remember how, hours or days later you realized the monumental mistake you made when tossing out the smelly trash or even worse, stepped in it on your property?
These are the things us owners don’t often consider when adopting our four-legged friends. Addressing these issues is the true value of our PawPail® system!
Pet Waste is a Harmful Contaminant
Pet waste was classified as a non-point source pollutant by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 1991. This means it is considered as harmful as oil, grease, herbicides and insecticides and other toxic chemicals when left unmanaged in our ecosystem!
Dog poop is also one of the most common carriers of the following parasites:
Exposure to these bugs can cause infections with a variety of symptoms including diarrhea, fever, head and/or muscle aches and vomiting. PawPail is a dog poop trash can that allows you to effectively manage waste to keep your family and your pets safe.
Let’s Talk About VOCs
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are harmful organic chemicals that can potentially cause a number of unwanted effects. They can come from either solid or liquid sources and, according to the EPA, have been known to cause:
Eye, nose and throat irritation
Headaches, loss of coordination and nausea
Damage to liver, kidney and central nervous system
These are not pollutants you want drifting through your home, especially around your vulnerable children and animals. We designed our dog waste container with an activated carbon air filter whose sole purpose is to trap, minimize, and contain these harmful, smelly chemicals from the air.
The filter itself was designed to absorb odors from approximately 200 filled dog poop bags, and, for a typical dog owner, will last for several weeks.
We’re very aware of our effect on this planet, so when we first set out to create an innovative solution, we needed to ensure that our products would minimize our plastic footprint while keeping waste management as sanitary as possible. Your average trash can does nothing to control this, but the PawPail system does!
Let’s start with our patent-pending DualVent™ technology. The idea behind this innovation was to simultaneously minimize odors and reduce the amount of plastic being sent to landfills. This tech eliminates the need for a liner garbage bag while at the same time improving airflow through the container, meaning you’ll be using less plastic.
When you combine this with our controlled-life plastic waste bags, then your long-term plastic footprint is reduced. Our waste removal bags are specially engineered to break down into carbon dioxide, water, mineral salts, and biomass in the presence of oxygen – and at a much faster rate than typical plastic. Stop using plastic grocery bags that will last virtually forever!
Protect your family, protect your environment and do so without sacrificing convenience by using the PawPail pet waste station – the ultimate pet waste management product!
